LUKOIL May Sell Two-Thirds of Uzbek Gas to China

LUKOIL may sell 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas produced in Uzbekistan to China, RIA Novosti said, citing Chief Executive Officer Vagit Alekperov.
Alekperov didn’t comment on the possible timing of supplies to China, RIA said. LUKOIL has a supply contract with the Uzbek state energy company for the gas, which is sold on to Russia’s OAO Gazprom, the news service said.
The Russian oil producer plans to pump 16 billion to 18 billion cubic meters of gas a year in Uzbekistan, RIA said.
