Vladimir Nekrasov buys LUKoil shares

Vladimir Nekrasov, LUKoil's first vice president and member of the executive board, acquired 9,000 shares in the Russian oil company worth a total of RUB 11.352m (approx. USD 435,000), or 0.001058% of LUKoil's share capital, the company said in a statement today. Specifically, Nekrasov bought 3,000 shares for RUB 4.2m (approx. USD 161,000) on October 6, 3,000 shares for RUB 3.552m (approx. USD 136,000) on October 7, and another 3,000 for 3.6m (approx. USD 138,000) also on October 7.

LUKoil's management board had decided earlier to buy back the company's own shares to back them up in the wake of the financial crisis. In September, LUKoil's President Vagit Alekperov and Vice President Leonid Fedun also increased their stakes in the company.- RBC
