World Oil Prices Rise as Saudis Cut Production

The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was growing Thursday morning on news that daily production volumes in Saudi Arabia had fallen.

The price of a May futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was up 63 cents to $108.74 a barrel by 7:05 Moscow time. The price of a May futures contract for North Sea Brent blend was up 45 cents to $122.45 in London.

The day before, May WTI contracts fell $1.00 to $108.11 a barrel, while May Brent contracts were up 33 cents to $122.00.
