Uzbekistan has raised the price of natural gas imported by Tajikistan, Tajiktransgaz reported, noting the new prices was now $249 per 1,000 cubic meters, up from $227.85.

"The price of imported Uzbekistan gas  is calculated by the European formula which takes into account changes in the world price for fuel oil and gasoil, the price of which has risen in the first quarter of this year", the Tajiktransgaz press office noted.

The price of gas is set on a quarterly basis, Trend reports.
