Libyan Chaos Takes Oil to 30-Month Highs

The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was growing Thursday morning as reports continued to arrive on protests in the Middle East which investors feared could disrupt fuel supplies.

The price of an April futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was up 77 cents to $98.99 a barrel by 7:45 Moscow time. The price of an April futures contract for North Sea Brent blend was up $.175 cents to $113.00 in London.

The day before, April WTI contracts fell grew $2.68 to $98.10 a barrel, while April Brent contracts jumped $5.47 cents to $111.25.
