Japan To Invest In Oil Sector In Iraq

All Iraq News reported that a Japanese newspaper assured that Tokyo offered loan to Iraq USD 2.24 million to establish a marina and an Oil refinery.

According to the Japanese newspaper, Nikkei, 'Japan will offer a loan of USD 861 million at first to build a refinery to extract liquids out of natural gas in the Rumaila oilfield in Basra province.

The newspaper said that "The loan will be followed by another one of USD 408 million to rebuild Khur al Zubair port in Basra province. The repayment duration of the two loans will be throughout years.”
