CNOOC Sets Up a Sales Company in Hunan

CNOOC, China’s largest offshore oil producer, announced that operations of its sales company in Hunan province was started on November 18. The move is an indication that CNOOC is positioning itself to sell more oil inland.

The new sales company specializes in developing sales channels of CNOOC’s oil products and chemical products in Hunan.

By the end of 2015, CNOOC plans to build 100 gas stations in Hunan province, manage 100,000 cubic meters of oil terminals, and achieve an annual sales target of 1 million metric tons of oil products.
