China Names Eight Key Development Goals at Energy Work Meeting

The Chinese government proposed eight key work points of Chinese energy development this year at the 2013 national energy work meeting held on January 7 and January 8, according to ChinaScope Financial.

The eight key development key points include: exploration of extraordinary oil and gas resources including shale gas and coalbed methane, development of new energy and renewable energy industries, active development of hydropower industry, and congruous development of wind power industry.

The government also pointed out that it will strive to increase the effective supply of energy to balance the supply and demand of energy this year.
