Statoil Starts LNG Production from Snohvit

Statoil commenced production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the Hammerfest LNG plant, northern Norway, on 13 September. After five years of development, the most northerly gas liquefaction plant in the world has come on stream.

Nord Stream decided on Pipe Tender

Nord Stream has finalised the international tender to supply high-quality steel pipes for the first pipeline. The tender was awarded to EUROPIPE, the world’s largest pipe producer (Mülheim a.d. Ruhr, Germany), and to the Russian pipe mill OMK (Vyksa).
