Caterpillar to Launch Bundled Repair Kits for Land Drilling

Caterpillar Oil & Gas introduces bundled repair kits for the Cat® 3512 oil and gas engine in land drilling applications. The Cat bundled repair solutions are a customizable, comprehensive solution for customers looking to maximize uptime in land drilling operations. Customers can choose a top end or major foundational kit and customize it with the related components needed for top end or major engine overhauls. Backed by a one year standard warranty, the Cat bundled repair kits are competitively priced and engineered for reliable and high quality overhauls.

The bundled repair solution is comprised of a 100% replacement parts kit that is prepackaged and segmented for convenience to ensure ease of assembly for either a service technician or do-it-yourself customer. Related components are also pre-identified and ordering is made easy, courtesy of an order matrix that identifies all necessary components for each individual engine and the part numbers for the kits. In addition to the order matrix, the quantity of part numbers required to order is drastically reduced. Equally as valuable is the quick availability of the kits and related components on the shelf with the delivery time approximately 1-2 days as a result of Caterpillar's worldwide parts distribution system.

New bundled repair solutions will continue to be released to support land drilling customers.  Coverage for the Cat 3508 oil and gas engine is expected in August 2014, as well as coverage for the Cat C18 oil and gas engine in early 2015.
