On November 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed into law legislation that will liberalize the export of liquified natural gas (LNG).
Russia’s Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house, has approved a bill on the liberalization of liquefied natural gas (LNG), under which gas giant Gazprom will only keep a monopoly on pipeline LNG exports, RIA Novosti reported on November 27.
Lukoil has proposed amendments to the bill on the liberalization of LNG exports in order to make it possible for it to work in the sector, Itar-Tass has reported, citing sources close to the bill’s authors.
