A lengthy ban on Russian gas imports to the European Union is unlikely, according to the Fitch Ratings' Report 'Living Without Russian Gas’, RIA Novosti reported on April 23.
Ukraine's state oil and gas company, Naftogaz, has slashed gas imports from Russia's Gazprom to 28 million cubic meters per day as of February 24 from 147 million, two Russian industry sources told Reuters on February 25.
The European market share of Russian gas giant Gazprom increased to 29.9% in 2013 from about 26.0% in 2012, the company said in a statement seen by Prime on February 17.
