The fire that has engulfed the fuel tanks near Libya’s Tripoli airport is spreading and according to officials there is a risk of a humanitarian and environmental disaster. One fuel tank caught fire during a battle between rival militias near the airport.
For the second time in a month, a major fire rages at one of Lukoil’s facilities in the Komi Republic.
The Azerbaijani State Oil Company (SOCAR) has extinguished the fire in the emergency well at the Bulla Deniz offshore field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, Trend reported on October 24, citing a source at the oil and gas market.
Under the instruction of SOCAR President, the Commission was set up to eliminate the accident followed by gas show at the exploration well #90 at Bulla-Deniz field.
A gas well is burning in the Caspian Sea. The field is located in the open sea 80 kilometers from Baku, Utro.ru reports. The well caught fire during the night during drilling at a depth of about 6 kilometers. The reason for the fire is being investigated.
A fire caused by a spark erupted in the xylenes department of Bulgaria's Burgas-based Lukoil Neftochim refinery around 11 am on Tuesday.
