April 22, 2014

Moscow and Ankara have agreed to boost the capacity of the Blue Stream gas pipeline, which brings Russian gas through the Black Sea to central Turkey, to 19 billion cubic meters from 16 billion cubic meters, Turkey’s Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said Monday at a news conference in Ankara, RIA Novosti reported on April 21.

Turkey will continue talks with Russia on gas supplies for private enterprises “at an affordable price,” Yildiz also said after talks with Alexander Medvedev, deputy CEO of Russian gas giant Gazprom.
