Yevgeny Taubkin appointed to head Russia’s Skolkovo Fund investment service

Yevgeny Taubkin has been appointed as head of the Skolkovo Fund investment service. Taubkin who is in his late thirties graduated from the Russian State Management University in 1998. He climbed the career ladder from a risk management department specialist at Lukoil Reserve Invest to a department director at the Eurasian Bank Razvitie. As head of the department, Taubkin is to focus on attracting business angels.

Taubkin has said there were no more than 200 business angels in Russia, but their numbers were growing. For 2014, ten meetings of the Skolkovo Club of Business Angels were scheduled, he said. Taubkin wants to increase the number of the club’s business angels to 200 this year, and they are to be shown 150 start-ups.
