World Oil Prices Slide As Dollar Regains Ground

The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was falling Monday morning as the dollar began to regain some of its losses against the euro.
The price of a November futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was off 50 cents to $80.75 a barrel by 6:50 Moscow time. The price of a November futures contract for North Sea Brent blend was down 47 cents to $81.97 in London.
Oil prices fell last Friday on dollar growth as well. November WTI contracts were down $1.44 to $81.25 a barrel, while November Brent contracts were down $1.75 to $81.95 per barrel.
