World Oil Prices Rise on Falling Dollar

The price of oil on world commodity exchanges was rising Monday morning as the dollar declined against the euro more than expected and U.S. unemployment claims grew.
The price of a November futures contract for WTI light sweet crude in electronic trading on Nymex was up 76 cents to $83.42 a barrel by 7:15 Moscow time. The price of a November futures contract for North Sea Brent blend has risen 53 cents to $84.56 in London.
Oil prices climbed the day before on positive data from the US on economic growth and rising stock markets. November WTI contracts were up 99 cents to $82.66 a barrel, while November Brent contracts were up 60 cents to $84.03.
