An agreement between Naftogaz and Gazprom should be signed before May 29. Otherwise, the conflict will be solved at the Stockholm arbitration court [Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) - ed.], Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on May 27, Ukrinform has reported.

“If by May 29, Naftogaz and Gazprom do not sign a corresponding agreement that would meet a pre-trial claim, it means that we will meet with the Russian Gazprom in court," he said.

Yatseniuk added that Kyiv hopes that "our Russian neighbors will see at least some bright idea, and the agreement between Naftogaz and Gazprom will be signed". The prime minister noted that Moscow still has not made a single step to resolve the dispute.

"We want to hear from Russia, including as to returning to Ukraine 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas, which Russia had stolen through Chornomornaftagaz in Crimea. In Gazprom prices this is $1 billion, apart from Ukraine's losses from the annexation of Crimea," he said.
