Ukraine Stores 17.6 Billion Cubic Metres of Gas Underground

Ukrinform reported on November 28 that 17.6 billion cu m of gas had been accumulated in Ukrainian underground storages.

NJSC Naftogaz CEO Vadym Chuprun has said about this, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.

“Currently, there is 17.6 billion, and we continue pumping around-the-clock,” Chuprun noted.

By the start of the heating season, Ukraine planned pumping up to 16 billion cu m of gas to underground gas storages. At the same time, Russian Gazprom insisted that at least 19 billion cu m of gas must be there.
