Ukraine pledges uninterrupted transit of Russian gas

February 24, 2014

Ukraine will fulfill its obligations for uninterrupted and accident-free gas transit and energy supply to consumers in countries of the European Union and the Customs Union, says a report of the press service of the Ukrainian government with a reference to Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Boiko, Itar-Tass reported on February 22.

“No political problems in the country should interfere with Ukraine’s fulfilling its obligations to the international economic community in the sphere of energy and other areas,” Boiko said.

He has said the situation in the energy market is under government control and reserves of petrol and diesel fuel are enough to meet demand for over three weeks.
