A sun-powered energy station has been built in Tyumen region, in Yarkovsky district. The plant supplies energy to a private fishery.
The plant’s capacity is 10 kW; it generates power from solar panels. In winter, the enterprise employs aerators to oxygenate water but these devices consume much electricity. Yet, the power plant’s capacity suffices to ensure the enterprise’s steady operation.
“In Tyumen, there is enough sun to supply power without failure. Of course, sometimes it’s not sufficient but in general, during the year, we have more sun than the North Caucasus region”, says Tatyana Ermakova, development director at Meridian 72 group of companies that designed the technology.
