Sulzer Chemtech Completes Modernization on Ethylene Column for Tomskneftekhim
Tomskneftekhim, a part of the SIBUR-holding group, has launched a 300,000 ton per year ethylene production unit modernized with Sulzer internal components, Oil and Gas Information Agency reports. The modernization enables the facility to improve rectification indicators and the quality of ethylene produced by 20 percent.
SIBUR plans to increase polymer production at Tomskneftekhim.
"There were no problems with launching the modernized column. This is the fourth ethylene aggregate the facility in Tomsk has successfully modernized in recent years in co-operation with Sulzer", Renova high-tech development manager Mikhail Livshits said.
