SPD and Yugra Government Signed Cooperation Agreement for 2015

Salym Petroleum Development (SPD) and the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra signed the Cooperation Agreement 2015. SPD total social investments to Yugra development in 2015 will make 80 million rubles.

"Signing of the Agreement with the Government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug is a planned step in consolidation and further development of our partnership, said SPD CEO Oleg Karpushin. – This is an evidence of our social commitment that we have been adhering to from the first days of operation in the region. Since the beginning of Salym project implementation in 2003 until now we have been invested in the social development of the region over 830 million rubles. For 10 years of cooperation the company implemented a series of projects important for Yugra that improved the quality of life for Yugra people. SPD will continue supporting development of the region, because we consider social investments as an integral part of SPD contribution to sustainable socio-economic development of Yugra".

The Agreement is aimed at expanding mutually beneficial partnerships, dynamic development of economy, introduction of new production technologies, and accomplishment of social tasks of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and its municipalities. SPD and the Government of Yugra will continue implementation of large-scale social programs in prioritized cooperation areas: health care, education, entrepreneurship, road safety, environment protection, energy saving and energy efficiency improvement. Specifically, in 2015, the company will finance Salym hospital repair, provide financial support to the project on barrier-free environment for disabled people, and also sponsor major sport and cultural events: Karpov international chess tournament, wrestling competition, Salym regatta and international ecological campaign "Save and Preserve".

Agreements on social and economic cooperation between the Government of Yugra and SPD have been signing since the year 2005. According to SPD social investment strategy the company focuses its social activity on the area of operation – Nefteyugansk district.
