SOCAR Launches Two Marine Oil Operation Support Vessels

The Azerbaijan state oil and gas company (SOCAR) has launched the Gurban Abbasov and Caspian Power crane vessels which will function under the Alliance BUE Caspian, Trend reports.
The Gurban Abbasov was fully modernized and equipped with good working and living conditions for 150-200 workers. the vessel is 141 meters long and 54 meters wide. The crane lift capacity is 600 tons while the deck supports 1,200 tons.
The Caspian Power, which was made in China, is 72.5 meters long and 17 meters wide and has 12,240 horsepower engines. The vessel will service platforms on the Azeri-Chirag-Gunsheli block of fields and the Shah-Deniz gas condensate field in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
Alliance BUE Caspian and SOCAR have been providing services to vessels in the Caspian for over 10 years.
