Shtokman LNG Port Design To Be Completed By Year End

October 5, 2010
The Teriberka LNG port design will be completed by the end of the year, Barents Observer reports. Although it is not yet decided if there ever will be built a LNG-plant for the Shtokman gas, the work with the design of the port for the LNG-tankers goes on.
If everything goes to plan, the design of the port in Teriberka Bay will be completed at the end of the year. Then, the port project would undergo expert review early next year and construction would commence in 2012, says Andrei Shapovalov, deputy director for shipping in Gazprom Dobycha Shelf, quoted by Interfax.
The new LNG-export port will most likely be registered as a subsidiary of the Murmansk port.
