Shah-Deniz Produces Over 3 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas in First Half 2011

In the first half of 2011, gas and gas condensate production at the Shah-Deniz gas field in Azerbaijan's section of the Caspian Sea was 3.07 billion cubic meters of gas, BP-Azerbaijan reported.

800 million tons of condensate was also peroduced during this period.

The daily production rate averaged 17 million cuic meter of gas and 35,800 barrels of condensate.

Last year, Shah-Deniz produced 6.9 billion cubic meters of gas and 1.9 million tons of condensate. Daily production in 2010 was on average 19 million cubic meters of gas and 40,200 barrels of condensate.

Gas produced at the field is delivered via Gerogia and Turkey.
