In 2013 Russian natural gas transit via Belarus totaled 48.8 billion cubic meters, up 10.3% from 2012. The information was presented at the meeting of the Gazprom Transgaz Belarus supervisory board on 28 February, BelTA has learnt.
The gas pipeline system of Gazprom Transgaz Belarus pumped a total of 14.1 billion cubic meters of gas. The Belarusian pipeline of Russia’s Yamal-Europe main transported 34.7 billion cubic meters. In 2012 the figures stood at 15.3 billion cubic meters and 29 billion cubic meters of gas respectively. The increase on gas transit via the Belarusian part of Russia’s Yamal-Europe main made up 19.5% in 2013.
A total of 20.3 billion of cubic meters of gas were supplied to Belarusian consumers.
