Russian gas reserves grow by 1 trillion cubic meters in 2013

Russia raised its natural gas reserves by 1 trillion cubic meters in 2013, with the increment exceeding gas production by 33.2%, according to a statement released by the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry on January 27, cited by Prime.

The country’s oil and gas condensate reserves rose by 635 million tonnes in 2013, which was 17.6% more than produced in this period, the ministry said.

Companies discovered 26 deposits in 2013, including 23 oil fields.

Exploration was conducted on the area of more than 40,000 line kilometers of 2D seismic profiles in 2013.
