Russia plans to submit a bid to the UN in 2012 to recognize an increase in its Arctic borders, Deputy Prime Minister Sergey Ivanov said, during opening comments at the government Maritime Collegium.
Ivanov said that a second expedition to clarify the border of the Russian Arctic shelf would begin in a few days.
