Russia’s Lukoil to increase associated gas utilization to 95%

Lukoil will increase associated gas utilization to 95%, as stipulated by the government, by the end of 2014, Lukoil board chairman Valery Grayfer has told an economic forum on the Caspian region. He said Lukoil aimed to use pipelines where possible so it was negotiating with Gazprom. Gayfer said associated gas production costs were much higher than natural gas production costs so Lukoil was looking for ways to use associated gas.
