Russia To Begin Commercial Oil Supplies To China In January 2011

Russia will begin commercial supplies of oil to China beginning on January 1, 2011, and may double supp;lies to the country in the future, Prime-TASS reports.
"In November and December we will begin filling the oil pipeline with technical oil – about 600,000 tons. Commercial deliveries will begin in January", Transneft CEO Nikolay Tokarevtold journalists.
Tokarev said that the contract between the two countries envisions delivering 15 million tons of crude from Russia to China. However, he declined to cite the value of the contract. "The price of oil is continually changing and the contract has been signed for 20 years, but in any case, it is a serious volume", he said.
