Russia’s Verkhnechonskneftegaz eyes block in Evenkia

Verkhnechonskneftegaz, which is a subsidiary of Rosneft, has obtained licenses to develop seven oil and gas blocks in East Siberia. These include the Kulindinsky block in Tungussko-Chunsky District of Evenkia municipal district in Krasnoyarsk Territory. Scientists estimate recoverable resources of D1 category at 200mn tons of hydrocarbons. The Kulindinsky block is part of the Verkhnechonsk gas condensate field whose recoverable oil resources of C1 and C2 categories are estimated at 480mn tons.
