Gazprom Chairman Aleksey Miller and Nord Stream AG Executive Director Matthias Warning on February 5 discussed the possibility of increasing the Nord Stream pipeline’s capacity through building one or two additional lines.
Nord Stream has conducted a feasibility study for the project. It shows that the construction of one or two additional lines would be economically feasible and technically and environmentally possible, and that it should be possible to attract loans from banks. The study also found that the European market will need more natural gas in the future.
