New gas processing technologies to be tested in Russia’s Yugra

May 30, 2014

The Yugra regional government has amended the state program on Yugra’s mineral and raw materials development for 2014-2020. Governor Natalya Komarova said that part of the funds to be provided according to the program would be spent on research to develop the gas processing sector in Yugra. She said this should both improve the environment and diversify the regional economy. The government will come up with measures to stimulate new technologies in gas processing in Yugra, said Komarova, according to her press office.

In particular, this year it is planned to sign an agreement with the IBRD on a project aimed to burn less associated gas and develop gas processing, Yugra’s resources directorate Boris Kostyukhin said. The project provides for buying consultancy services.
