Nadym Gas Production in 2010 Up 10 Percent on 2009

By the end of 2010, gas production in Nadym district will reach 170 billion cubic meters of gas, the Oil and Gas Information Agency reports.

Authorities in the district are focussed on developing a stable fuel and energy sector to form the basis of a successful local economy.

Gas is the main industry in Nadym district and accounts for 97 percent of its industrial output.

Crude production (including gas condensate) in 2010 will be 5.8 million tons, or 104 percent of production achieved in 2009.

In 2010, subsoils activity provided 140 billion roubles.
