LNG terminal to be built in Russia’s Leningrad Region

An LNG terminal to produce and dispatch 660,000 tons of LNG may be built in the port of Vysotsk in Leningrad Region. Gazprombank and the Finish Gasum Oy will invest in the project, an informed source has said, adding that 15bn rubles will be invested in the project in 2015-2017.

Earlier, it was reported that an LNG plant to make up to 10mn tons of LNG could be built in Leningrad Region to sell LNG to Spain, Portugal, the UK, Latin America and India. A final decision on the project is expected this summer.
