Gazprom says Ukrainian unrest may affect EU gas transit

Russian gas giant Gazprom is concerned about gas transit to Europe due to political turmoil in Ukraine, Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said late on January 29 in an interview with TV channel Rossiya 24, Prime reported on January 30.

“We are concerned about an unstable situation in Ukraine, as there are some claims that its gas transportation system may be attacked by extremists, and this is very alarming,” Medvedev said.
