Gazprom Plans Record Production in 2013

April 15, 2010

Gazprom will produce 565.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2013, company CEO Aleksey Miller promised yesterday speaking on Vesti 24 television. “This is a bigger volume than we saw in 2008 before the crisis and is a record for Gazprom for the past 13 years”. The difference between this goal and actual production in 2009 is 104 billion cubic meters of gas enough to provide Europe with all the gas it needs for two to three months.

So far, 2006 stands as Gazprom’s record year with output of 556 billion cubic meters of gas. Miller stressed that the new figure was not a forecast, but represented the company’s real plans. Miller said the plan was base on upward trends in consumption in both Russia and Europe in the beginning of this year.
