Belorusneft Sends Seismic Exploration Equipment To Ecuador

Belorusneft has sent seismic exploration equipment to Ecuador, the company reported in a news release.

The advanced equipment is intended for work of an affiliated enterprise registered in Ecuador at the end of 2012. It is the second telemetry system supplied there by the Byelorussians. The first seismograph was sent at the beginning of the year. Now the capacity of seismic data reception will increase up to 10 thousands channels.

The range of services, which are provided by the affiliated enterprise to Ecuadorian customers will be enlarged as well. Byelorussian specialists are to start developing a multi-purpose project on 3D seismic method for Ecuadorian state oil company Petroamazonas. It is planned to explore 1.5 thousand sq. km. during 2 years.          

Besides the seismic exploration, in future, the enterprise activities in the region will include drilling and complete repair of wells, implementation of high technologies in both monitoring of oil and gas field developments and increase of recoverable oil.
