Belarus May Sell Beltransgaz to Gazprom this Autumn
Belarus could sell Russia the 50 percent stake in Beltransgaz which it still owns (the other 50 percent already belongs to Gazprom) this autumn, Belarusian State Property Fund Chair Georgy Kuznetsov said, according to RIA-Novosti.
"I think it will happen in the autumn", Kuznetsov said at a news conference in Minsk, Earlier, Gazprom had announced that negotiations on buying the remaining 50 percent in Beltransgaz would be tied to discussions on new gas supply and transport contracts. Those negotiations are scheduled for September.
