December 16, 2013

The Energy Ministry of Azerbaijan is currently developing a national plan for 2014-2020 to improve energy efficiency nationwide, head of the ministry's investment department Ramiz Rzayev said on December 13, Azernews has reported.

Rzayev said up to 40 percent of energy resources consumed in Azerbaijan can be saved.

That means the efficiency of energy consumption in the country is not yet at an acceptable level, Rzayev said while speaking at a conference titled "Energy efficiency in buildings of public procurement".

The conference was organized by the OSCE Office in Baku and the Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS) under the President of Azerbaijan.
