Abu Dhabi Begins Exporting New Oil Grade

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company started exporting a new oil grade. The new export commodity received the name Das Crude, reports WAM, an Emirati news agency.

The first tanker, loaded with 640,000 barrels of Das oil, set off to Japan from the port of Das Island, located 170 kilometers northwest from Abu Dhabi.

Das Crude grade is a mix of Lower Zakum Crude and Umm Shaif Crude grades; it is a light oil with low sulfur content. According to representatives of the company, Das Crude is a competitive product that conforms to international standards.
