Operators of gas cap oil fields often face problems related to gas inrush through breakings of production strings, or through existing perforated zones of a low-quality cement column. In such cases, it is impossible to operate the well in a regular mode. Conventional repair and insulation techniques using cement or composite materials are expensive and inefficient.
In cases of water inrush through permeable streaks, operators encounter similar problems.
As an alternative to conventional repair and insulation techniques, an innovative method is offered which involves the blocking of gas and water ingress by a specially designed two-paker system, which allows fast and reliable blocking off of problematic intervals. Operations completed recently at the Kiengopsky and other fields proved this method's efficiency.
The PRO-YADZH-O two-paker system, which makes it possible to use the new technique has been designed by the PAKER research and production company, based in Oktyabrsky, Bashkortostan.
