Bittekhnika’s New Scraper to Better Clean the Inner Surface of Well Casing Strings

Bittechnika manufactured the first lot of new technological equipment for mechanical cleaning of the inner surface of well casing strings. The scraper makes it possible to efficiently remove the following substances from the wellbore: sludge, rust, asphaltic resinous paraffin deposits, cement cake and other solid and soft deposits. The scraper includes a tubular body with rams which are supported by a high-pressure rubber tube during the scraper operation.

Scraper operating principle is based on mechanical cleaning by the rams pressed against the casing string surface by the force created by the working (circulating) fluid pressure and scraper torque, transferred by the rotary table or with the help of the low-speed bottomhole motor.

Advantages and characteristics of this equipment:
It is manufactured for wells with casing strings having diameter from 140 to 178 mm.
Reasonably simple design of the product.
The scraper design implies multiuse.
No thermal limitations in the operation.
No depth limitations.
The scraper can be manufactured both with the right-hand and left-hand connection thread.

There are several options of the casing string cleaning:
1. Cleaning with cement bridge sub-drilling and simultaneous scraping of the casing string walls. For that, the scraper is combined with a drill bit of necessary dimension type. In this case, two technological operations are combined in one, which does not impair work quality and results in direct time saving.
2. Only scraping of the inner surface of the particular interval of the casing string. For that, the scraper is combined with the jet nosepiece, which includes a body and three jet nozzles (supplied as a complete set).
The scraper is certified and has got Certificate of Conformity No. ROSS RU. AI50.VO2018.
