Schlumberger EspWatcher Improves Well Productivity in Noyabrskneftegaz

Recently, Gazprom Neft’s subsidiary Noyabrskneftegaz started using Schlumberger’s EspWatcher monitoring system for electrical submersible pumps.

Lower Operating Costs with ESP Monitoring

EspWatcher monitoring system for electric submersible pumps prevents premature failures and extends run life. This reduces workovers and personnel costs, eliminates equipment replacement costs. This is a step-change in production and lift system performance with lower operating costs.

Minimize Well Downtime

Alarms and call outs are sent by pager, telephone or email. Threshold alarms and trends, plus daily raw data summaries and histories, provide valuable information that improves pump run life. Anomalies and problem wells can be investigated using on-demand data polling.

Pump starts can be carried out remotely, ensuring the right personnel are present for critical operations. Well work can be prioritized according to economic value.

Improve Well Productivity

The system offers real-time performance diagnosis of downhole equipment. These diagnostic checks let you continually improve ESP performance as reservoir, production and wellbore configurations change.

EspWatcher can evaluate changes in sandface properties and formation integrity, which is critical to maximizing production.

Minimize Risk and Enhance Performance

This technology is built on the strength of RedaPump ESP systems, Phoenix MultiSensor artificial lift monitoring, and InterACT real-time monitoring and data delivery technologies. Supported by Data and Consulting Services (DCS), EspWatcher focuses on production enhancement as an end-to-end data acquisition and management system.

Scalability is suitable for mature fields with a large number of producing wells, remote environments where physical access is restricted or difficult, and fields where SCADA is limited or unavailable.

The input/outputs (I/Os) from ESP sensors and surface equipment interface with the EspWatcher site communication box. Real-time data are transmitted via satellite to Schlumberger’s database. Call outs and alarms are sent directly to the customer.
