OZNA Develops Measurement Equipment for the Talakanskoye Oil Field

At the end of this year and the beginning of next, OZNA will supply measurement equipment to develop Surgutneftegaz’s Talakanskoye field infrastructure.

A high-power hydrocyclone separator is part of the OZNA Massomer-1500 measurement package, also equipped with two Coriolis acceleration mass flowmeters by Emerson and designed for a high daily gas flowrate.
The measurement equipment will be manufactured according to specifications from Surgut oilmen, specifically for the Talakanskoye field.

The decision to purchase OZNA Massomer-1500 measurement equipment was made after field testing showed that the equipment is suited for the Talakanskoye field.

The OZNA Massomer three-component package:
measures the daily average mass liquid flowrate;
measures or estimates the daily average volumetric gas flowrate;
estimates the daily average mass oil flowrate of gas-liquid fluid (GLF) produced from oil wells.

The equipment is designed for application in oil gathering systems.
The OZNA Massomer package consists of process and hardware units (control station) and life support system sections.

The process unit includes measuring and distribution modules.
A two-stage horizontal separator is the major element of the measuring module. Separator stages are two cylinders of different diameters, placed one above the other. The cyclone upper chamber includes the first separation stage, intended for the primary separation of gas and liquid and for gas dehydration in a knockout drum in the chamber. The lower, larger diameter chamber collects liquid (oil-water mixture) draining from the upper chamber and further separates gas and liquid by settling.

The distribution module is a valve station consisting of an automatically-operated multi-way well selection valve unit that alternately connects wells to the measuring module.
The control station has a data measurement and processing unit and a power unit.

The life support system sections include shelters (control rooms) and heating, ventilation, and fire and gas alarm systems.
The package design offers five options for rated capacity and seven options for the number of connected wells.
The data measurement and processing unit of the control station processes data from flow, pressure and temperature transducers; compiles daily average data on the mass liquid flowrate and volumetric gas flowrate; displays and transmits parameter values by communication channels; and controls the measurement process.
