IRZ-600 control stations enable the operation, control and protection of two to three pumping units in the general pipeline network. They allow regulation of induction (asynchronous) motor speed to maintain set parameters of pumping unit outputs (pressure, level, flow rate etc.).
Benefits include:
A pumping program built into a frequency converter (FC), which eliminates the need for an extra controller in the control station (CS) and thereby reduces the cost of CS.
An FC capable of operating pumping units of various power and flow rates.
Potential integrated dispatching control of a facility (SCADA-system) by CS.
Potential integration with the RS485 interface.
Potential transfer to an operator’s console front panel.
A Russian menu on the FC console.
Potential activation of automatic exchange of operating pumping units to equalize wear and tear.
Switching from non-controlled asynchronous electric drives of pumping and ventilation units in water and air supply systems, boiler houses and central heat points to variable-frequency electric drives makes it possible to reduce power consumption by 30 or more percent. Water consumption drops to 25 percent in cold water supply systems and to 15 percent in hot water supply systems.
Further advantages of the IRZ-600 control station include:
Heat conservation in hot water supply systems due to reduced hot water loss.
Potential discharge heads higher that the rated ones.
Reduced wear on main equipment due to smooth starts, hydraulic impact removals, and head reduction (experience in municipal engineering shows that the number of main equipment overhauls can be cut in half).
Noise reduction, which is especially important in pumping and ventilation units near homes and offices. Potential integrated automation of water and air supply systems.
