Capital Avia Invest to Complete the Latest VIP Modification of TU-134B-3 Aircraft

_editor_ris 1.jpg A specialist in the refitting and sales of aviation equipment and operator of VIP charter flights, the Capital Avia Invest Company is about to complete its pilot project: the TU-134B VIP modification. This aircraft is in great demand among Russian oil and gas companies to fly to regions where their branch offices, gas and oil fields and refineries are located.
Some new features were added to complement its well- known advantages, such as durability and reliable performance in all weather conditions, spacious and comfortable cabin, and very fast flight speed.
The modification is the result of the refitting of 134UBL aircraft used by the Russian Air Forces. The latest aircraft include all the modifications and improvements introduced in the course of TU-134 manufacturing and upgrading. The aircraft have been treated with anticorrosive materials and their undercarriage and wings have been reinforced. Production was controlled by defense industry experts. The Minsk Aircraft Repair Plant, regarded as the best for TU-134 aircraft repair, has been doing the refitting under the supervision of Tupolev Company.
To upgrade flight safety to European standards, the aircraft was fitted with state-of-the-art flight and navigation equipment, such as:
Contour-10C airborne meteonavigation radar station that provides up to 600 km early warning on dangerous meteofactors;
Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) equipped with land relief monitoring;
Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS);
VBE-SVS aneroid altimeter that fits the Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM);
GPS satellite navigation system;
Multifunction indicators (MFI A-813-0409) installed in the flight deck which display information received from the aircraft systems.
The aircraft’s nonstop operating range has been increased to 4,000 km through the use of a set of additional fuel tanks, enabling the aircraft can fly to remote locations previously beyond the reach of the TU-134.
Akzo Nobel's latest Aviox Super Sparkle paint has been used for the first time on a TU-134 aircraft. A special pattern has been designed by the Roand Image Graphica team which reduces air drag, ensuring additional fuel economy and boosting the aircraft’s non-stop operating range.
Thanks to a new cabin design, the aircraft can accommodate 46 passengers in two VIP class and one business class sections. Oil and gas companies find the possibility of transporting a greater number of passengers in various service classes especially attractive. The cabin is decorated with leather, wood and the latest aviation technology materials, which ensure maximum safety for passengers and crew. The VIP class sections are equipped with the AIRSHOW system connected with a satellite navigation system, as well as with a modern multimedia system and a Globalstar satellite user terminal.
