Russian Shareholders Welcome Dudley as New Chief of BP

Russian shareholders in TNK-BP welcome the appointment of Robert Dudley as the new chief of BP as well as the possible inclusion of former BP CEO Tony Hayward in the TNK-BP Board of Directors, TNK-BP Executive Director and Co-owner of TNK-BP German Khan said.
Dudley was head of the British-Russian joint venture TNK-BP from 2003 to 2008. He left his post during a conflict with the main shareholders in the enterprise who insisted he leave. Russian shareholders accused Dudley of managing the company in the interests of the British shareholders, RIA-Novosti reports.
"Yes, we did have a certain bit of friction, but it was not personal but concerned some approaches to managing the company on the level of shareholders which were not agreed. I sent Bob a note of congratulations today and I think that the experience he gained is invaluable", Khan said.
