NOVATEK: Forty-nine Percent Of Yamal-LNG Project Go To Foreigners

NOVATEK, Russia's largest independent gas producer, is prepared to sell 49 percent of shares in the Yamal-LNG project to foreign partners, the newspaper Kommersant reports. The company's plans in this regard were announced by the director of NOVATEK's LNG projects development department, Yevgeniy Kot. "The following structure is envisioned: 51 percent will be owned by the Russian side and 49 percent by three or four foreign partners who will provide technological and financial support for the project", he explained.
NOVATEK owns the licence to the large South-Tambeyskoye field.
